MonstarZen Dojo presents classes that suit all levels of fitness and skill levels, in traditional, modern or a mixture of formats to suit your business. Our aim is for your employees to clock out for 45-60 minutes, clear out the chatter in their heads, sweat a little and possibly learn some practical new skills.

What are the benefits of a “body, mind & spirit” training program

Kickboxing

Learn the art of kickboxing with hands, feet, knees and elbow strikes. Kickboxing is a heavy cardio workout burning calories fast

Karate

This class is an entry level class focusing on introducing beginner students to the techniques, terminology and culture of Shidokan karate. It is also a great class for more experienced students to refresh or refine the basics. This class has a strong emphasis on building solid foundation in both the physical aspects and philosophy of Budo Karate.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga stems from the ancient Hatha teaching. Sarah’s  classes consist of an athletic flow sequence which aids in becoming more present to the “here and now” and allows us to grow into our practice of yoga and Martial Arts.

Brazilan Jiu Jitsu BJJ and Self Defence

Brazilan Jiu Jitsu is a modern martial art with a traditional lineage that focuses on leverage and technique to overcome combat situations.

For this reason it’s a great art for self-defence for men and women, combat sports applications or just a fun way to exercise with a purpose.

Known as the gentle art students can to BJJ without the stigma of being hit yet still learn a functional martial art.

Our BJJ classes are run by Ben who is a black belt with years of experience competing, teaching and can focus on any or all the facets of BJJ whilst catering to all levels of fitness and ability.

Functional Training

These classes are best suited to 45 minutes as it has high intensity training components.

The class is broken into three stages;

    • warmup/mobility
    • strength and conditioning targeting fat burn strength, speed and power
    • mobility/stretch

Stevie’s ethos for his functional training classes are to make someone a better athlete. Being more athletic means to increase mobility, strength, speed and shape. This style of training suits all levels of fitness.
