MonstarZen Dojo is an experienced team of Martial artists, Yoga Instructors and Fitness experts who all have the same goal. Our instructors are focused on sharing their experiences to create better balance and quality of life to those who need it most.
A Dojo in Japanese is “Place of the Way”. The Dojo is a place to find inner peace by harnessing positive energy via physical action. We will bring the Spirit of the Dojo to your place of work.
Christian began his Martial Arts journey in Karate at the age of 6 training under his Father a Karate Black Belt at his small Dojo.
He went on to train in Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Kyokushin Karate, Boxing and BJJ but it was
Christian graded to blackbelt with the legendary Kancho Yoshiji Soeno founder of Shidokan in 1997.
With over 35 years of martial arts experience Christian is still a student aiming to be as well rounded a fighter as possible. He hopes to share the lifestyle and benefits that martial arts

MonstarZen Dojo’s Submission grappling Instructor has been training in the Martial Arts since he was 8 years old. Starting out in Tae kwon Do in his native New Zealand.
Over the years he has trained and fought in boxing, kickboxing, MMA and Brazilian Jiujitsu culminating in receiving his Black Belt in BJJ from Vanderson Pires in 2013.
Ben’s quest to be a better fighter has found him training in Brazil, Thailand, Japan and the U.S with the likes of Demian Maia, Shinya Aoki, Masakazu Imanari and Dean Lister.

The Foundation of Stevie’s training and coaching is about optimizing lifestyle and performance. This is achieved by focusing on strength, athleticism, movement and wellness – something he is extremely passionate about.
He holds numerous qualifications within the industry including studies in exercise science, sports performance and a biomechanics specialization.
Stevie also coaches boxing (fitness, technique, etc.) as well as being a competitor in the ring and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner.
Creative Movement and discipline were instilled early in Sarah by way of Classical Ballet studies from the age of 8. Whilst at Uni her ballet studies continued at the Sydney Dance Company concurrent with studying for her Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) at the University of Western Sydney. After graduating Uni Sarah was offered work at the prestigious International law firm Minter Ellison Lawyers as National Data Base Manager a position she was in for 5 years.
During Sarah’s time at Minter Ellison Lawyers, Sarah saw that a fast-paced corporate environment must be balanced with a structured exercise regime that challenges you physically so that you can reach peak performance mentally.
With an understanding that Martial Arts offered punching, kicking and somehow something more, Sarah first studied Tae Kwon Do, but it wasn’t until she moved to Singapore and started training in Kickboxing that a real passion developed for the Martial Arts. Upon moving to Switzerland her Kickboxing training intensified and she knew she had found her true path.
In Martial Arts, Sarah discovered that the movement and discipline attained from her Ballet could be transformed into something that still enabled creativity and also had practical life applications physically and mentally. Her Martial Arts journey has since expanded with Shidokan Karate and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and alongside 8 years of kickboxing experience Sarah is an ISSA qualified Personal Trainer and Certified Power Living Yoga Instructor.
Sarah’s classes are based on Strength, Mobility and Martial Arts and she is keen to share the life balancing way of understanding your own body and mind through movement with clients of all walks of life and fitness levels.
